TGSPDCL makes all arrangements for Maha Ganesh idol immersion in Hyderabad

The Southern Power Distribution Company of Telangana Limited (TGSPDCL) has made extensive arrangements to ensure uninterrupted and safe power supply in and around the Hussainsagar area for the Maha Ganesh idol immersion on Friday.

As part of the arrangements, a camp office has been established at NTR Marg and Chairman and Managing Director Jitesh V. Patil inaugurated it on Thursday. He inspected the power supply arrangements, safety measures and emergency response systems at Tank Bund, NTR Marg and the immersion ghats.

To ensure uninterrupted power supply during the immersion, the Discom has arranged 32 additional Distribution Transformers (DTRs) including 23-500 kVA DTRs, 8-160 kVA DTRs and 1-100 kVA DTR. Further, to enhance the reliability of power supply, 19 dedicated 11 kV feeders sourced from 6 substations have been kept ready as alternative supply arrangements. Mr. Patil stated that a ring system has been implemented to ensure that power supply could be restored immediately through an alternate feeder in case of any interruption.
