How can we make Thai Airways really ready for the World Bank-IMF Annual Meetings, which start in Bangkok next week? Indeed, since this week many delegates have been using TG, and it will be a world-class fiasco if we have anything resembling the current delayed-baggage foul-up.
After flying for 66 years, our flag carrier still can't manage passenger baggage. Yes, last week's rainfall was very heavy, but no other carrier suffered delays on our scale.
Why not? Did TG abandon its passenger base to serve its partners' passengers first, minimising penalties? Did management fail its frontline staff by leaving them in the dark, without a plan?
