NBC Selected reporter Zoe Malin, editorial operations associate Jem Alabi and editor Mili Godio also tested the fan and love that it has 10 speeds, which is more than many other popular handheld fans, which usually have around three. Plus, it has a compartment for water that allows it to both function as a mister and activate the cooling plate on the side. You can apply the cooling plate directly to your neck, which can help lower your skin temperature on particularly hot days, according to the brand.

Additionally, you can easily prop the fan up on a flat surface and angle it up to your face while you work or sit at a restaurant. And even though the weather might be cooling down in several states, it’ll still come in handy when you take those winter vacations to warm destinations, or are someone who overheats from a brisk walk or crowded train ride.
