A third accused was arrested for the murder of DJ Warras.

In an important development, the National Prosecuting Authority (NPA) has added a third accused to the murder case of Warrick Stock, also known as DJ Warras.

Hlengiwe Buthelezi, 40, appeared before the Johannesburg Magistrates' Court after she was arrested in KwaZulu-Natal on Thursday after a warrant was issued for her arrest.

“Buthelezi has abandoned her right to apply for bail and will appear alongside her co-accused, Victor Mthethwa Majola, 44, in the Gauteng Division of the High Court, Johannesburg, on September 18, 2026, for a pre-trial conference,” the NPA said in a statement released on Friday.

Buthelezi and Majola face charges of premeditated murder and conspiracy to commit murder in connection with Stock’s killing.

Another accused in the matter, Armando Pacula, has already pleaded guilty in terms of Section 105A of the Criminal Procedure Act.

He was convicted and sentenced to 25 years' imprisonment.

Stock was shot and killed outside the Zambesi Building in the Johannesburg Central Business District (CBD) in December last year.

The NPA said the prosecution team would continue to pursue the matter with a view to bringing it to finalisation before the courts.
