Employees at Accelevation Holdings are set to receive at least $100,000 (roughly Rs 96 lakh) each following the data centre infrastructure company's initial public offering (IPO), giving workers a potentially sizeable financial reward as the company enters the public markets.

The US-based company plans to distribute the payout in five or six batches over the next two years, according to a Bloomberg report. The payments are designed partly to encourage employees to stay with the company during its next phase of growth.

The $100,000 package will not necessarily come entirely as cash. Depending on market conditions, the awards can include cash, Accelevation shares and contributions towards employees' retirement savings. Each instalment is also linked to private-equity firm Olympus Partners selling part of its stake in the company. Why Accelevation is giving employees the payout

Accelevation makes infrastructure used inside data centres, including power distribution systems, cooling equipment and structural systems. It also provides installation services. The business has benefited from the rapid expansion of data centre capacity linked to artificial intelligence.

The company was founded by Michael and Shawn Rubiera in 2017 and has grown rapidly in recent years. Accelevation's revenue reached $447.8 million in 2025, up from less than $3 million in 2021, according to Reuters.

The employee payout is also connected to the company's private-equity ownership. Olympus Partners, which backed Accelevation before its public listing, is selling part of its holding through the IPO and subsequent transactions. Bloomberg reported that each employee award will be distributed as Olympus sells down its stake.

Accelevation had more than 1,700 employees, according to a letter from its founders published around the time of the IPO. The company said it had added more than 1,700 employees over the previous five years while expanding its manufacturing capacity from 20,000 square feet to around 1.1 million square feet.

Accelevation priced its IPO at $18 per share and sold 30 million shares. Of these, 10 million shares were offered by the company, while 20 million came from shareholders linked to Olympus Partners. The offering raised $540 million.

The company's shares began trading on Nasdaq on September 30 under the ticker ACCV. However, the stock opened at $17.55, about 2.5 per cent below the $18 IPO price, giving Accelevation a valuation of around $3.9 billion.

The IPO comes as investors continue to pour money into infrastructure needed for AI services. Accelevation is among the companies positioned to benefit from spending on data centres, where demand for power, cooling and other infrastructure has grown alongside the expansion of AI computing.- Ends
