Three killed in road accident in Belagavi

Three young men died in a road accident near Saundatti in Belagavi district on Tuesday.
Vinod Jogennavar, 22, Akash Jadhav, 20, and Ravi Kurabar, 22, died when their bike collided with a North Western Karnataka Road Transport Corporation bus near the Hoysala dhaba. They sustained grievous injuries and died on the spot.
The bus was on its way to Hubballi from Basava Kalyan in Bidar district. The three boys were going from Saundatti to Dharwad.
The bike hit the bus and subsequently slid underneath it. As a result, the three sustained severe injuries and bled to death, the police said.
The police visited the scene and conducted an inspection. Arrangements have been made to transport the bodies to a hospital, and efforts are under way to locate the families of the deceased.
A case has been registered at the Saundatti Police Station.
