Thunderstorm forecast in 23 Telangana districts on September 17

The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a thunderstorm forecast for 23 Telangana districts for Thursday (September 17, 2026).

According to IMDs latest bulletin, thunderstorms accompanied with lightning and gusty winds are very likely to occur at isolated places in Adilabad, Kumaram Bheem Asifabad, Mancherial, Nirmal, Nizamabad, Jagtial, Rajanna Sircilla, Karimnagar, Peddapalli, Jayashankar Bhupalpally, Mulugu, Bhadradri Kothagudem, Khammam, Siddipet, Rangareddy, Hyderabad, Medchal Malkajgiri, Vikarabad, Sangareddy, Medak, Kamareddy, Mahabubnagar and Nagarkurnool districts.

Hyderabad city and its surrounding areas for the next 24 hours will see a partly cloudy sky. “Light rain or thundershowers accompanied with gusty winds are very likely to occur in the city. The maximum and minimum temperatures are likely to be around 33℃ and 24℃ respectively,” as per the bulletin.
