TNT Sports head Luis Silberwasser to depart Skydance as CBS Sports chief David Berson takes over combined global sports group

Luis Silberwasser, chairman and CEO of TNT Sports, is departing the soon-to-be merged Paramount Skydance and Warner Bros. Discovery, according to people familiar with the matter.Silberwasser informed his team of the news Monday in an e-mailed note, said the people, who asked not to be named because the communication was private.
David Berson, president and chief executive officer of CBS Sports, will lead a newly formed global sports group that will oversee all networks, platforms and territories. The CBS Sports, TNT Sports and WBD Sports brands will roll up into the new group.
The combined company, which last week announced it will be named Skydance, will own a large swath of sports rights, including NFL Sunday afternoon games, all of March Madness, college football, NHL, NASCAR, the French Open, The Masters, and many others.
The Paramount Skydance and Warner Bros. Discovery merger is expected to close tomorrow, Oct. 6.
