Todd Monken sends fiery message to former Steelers HC Mike Tomlin after Browns win - Steelers Wire

Cleveland Browns head coach Todd Monken has made it clear that the team didn't appreciate former Pittsburgh Steelers head coach Mike Tomlin mocking their Week 1 struggles.

Speaking with reporters following Cleveland's Week 2 upset win over the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, Monken blasted Tomlin's "Browns is the Browns" comments, revealing that the team used them as motivation.

“Browns are gonna Browns, f--- that," Monken said. "The guys took that to heart."

In Week 1, the Browns were blown out by the Jacksonville Jaguars 34-10. Tomlin, who stepped down as head coach of the Steelers and joined NBC as a sports analyst, used the "Browns is the Browns" motto to mock Cleveland when discussing quarterback Deshaun Watson's struggles.

Unfortunately for Pittsburgh, the shoe is now on the other foot, as Cleveland bounced back in Week 2 while using Tomlin's comments as motivation, and the Steelers were embarrassed by the New England Patriots.
