Tom Brady: It's time to begin Bears QB Caleb Williams' MVP campaign - Bears Wire
Add NFL legend, Super Bowl champion, and FOX broadcaster Tom Brady to the growing list of those who are buying in on Chicago Bears quarterback Caleb Williams.
Although it is just one week, Williams has made plenty of fans across the league after his performance in the Week 1 win over the Carolina Panthers, where he completed 21-of-29 passes for 269 yards and two touchdowns while adding 65 rushing yards and two rushing scores in a dominant offensive showing.
Earlier this week, Brady revealed his top five power rankings heading into week two of the NFL season. And not only did he have the Bears in second place, he also said itβs time to start the clock for Caleb Williams MVP campaign.
"The Caleb Williams MVP watch is underway," Brady said. "The Bears are No. 2 (in his power rankings), they put 59 (points) on Carolina in Week 1, Ben Johnson wants the highest scoring offense ever, but we need to see a little defense from this team when they get back to Chicago. Or you know what, screw it, keep scoring 59 points, I'm an offensive guy, either way works."
Itβs incredible to see all the names of analysts who are buying in on Williams this season, but last week was just the beginning, and heβll have to continue to build on that. Regardless, hearing the man that many believe to be the greatest quarterback of all-time, love him or hate him, compliment the Bears quarterback, it doesn't get much better in terms of hype.
