Trabzonspor have signed Brazilian midfielder Fabinho after reaching an agreement with the 32-year-old, who was a free agent following his departure from Saudi Arabian side Al-Ittihad. The transfer was officially announced by the club through a filing with Türkiye's Public Disclosure Platform.
Under the terms of the agreement, Fabinho will receive a guaranteed annual salary of €2.6 million, along with a €1.4 million signing fee for each season. His total guaranteed annual cost to Trabzonspor will therefore reach €4 million.
The Brazilian midfielder previously spent five seasons at Liverpool, making 219 appearances and winning the Premier League, UEFA Champions League, FA Cup, League Cup, UEFA Super Cup and FIFA Club World Cup during his time at the English club.
Fabinho moved to Al-Ittihad in 2023 after leaving Liverpool and won the Saudi Pro League with the club. His return to Europe will also reunite him with former Liverpool teammate Mohamed Salah, who joined Trabzonspor earlier this month.
