Trent McDuffie leads NFL with 0.0 passer rating allowed this season - Rams Wire

Los Angeles Rams defensive back Trent McDuffie has been at his best since making his team debut two weeks ago, and with an interception in hand following Monday night's victory over the New York Giants, the future could not be brighter for the young superstar.

McDuffie's ability to eliminate top receivers from the opposing game plan gives the Rams a massive advantage over the opposition. What makes McDuffie special is that he's doing it at a league-best level. According to Pro Football Focus, McDuffie is tied with Las Vegas Raiders defender Hezekiah Masses for the lowest passer rating allowed (0.0) among cornerbacks so far this season.

McDuffie has allowed just one catch on eight targets for 13 yards with four passes defensed, including a pick.

McDuffie plays with eye-popping consistency and he's one of the most versatile corners in the game. In Week 1, Rams defensive coordinator Chris Shula employed a zone-heavy defensive scheme. In Week 2, Shula used more man coverage, while blitzing at a higher rate. Regardless, McDuffie has been at his All-Pro best.

At only 26 years old, McDuffie could just now be entering his professional prime. His next test will be on Sunday night against the Denver Broncos and speedster Jaylen Waddle.
