A yet-to-be-identified motorcyclist was crushed to death by a tipper truck at Ilasa Bus Stop, inward Mile 2, Lagos State. The Permanent Secretary, Lagos State Emergency Management Agency, Dr Olufemi Oke-Osanyintolu, disclosed this in a statement on Thursday. Oke-Osanyintolu stated that the accident, which occurred around 3:18 pm, involved a tipper truck loaded with sand and marked 19F 992FG and a motorcycle. He noted that the agency’s Eagle Response Team stationed at Cappa was immediately deployed to the scene after receiving a distress call, with an estimated arrival time of 15 minutes. The PS said the operation was concluded and normal traffic flow was restored in the area. Oke-Osanyintolu commiserated with the family of the deceased and urged motorists, particularly drivers of articulated vehicles, to exercise caution and obey traffic regulations. “The Lagos State Government remains committed to the safety of lives and property and will continue to ensure rapid emergency response across the state,” he concluded.
