Two teams are on the rise: "supercomputer" predicts the latest Premier League title favorites after matchday 9.

On 2 Nov 2026 GMT+7, Opta, football statistics experts, revealed the latest predictions from their supercomputer on which team is most likely to win the 2026-27 English Premier League season after week 9 among the top table teams.

It appears the "defending champions" Arsenal remain the top favorite, with Opta's supercomputer increasing their chances of defending the Premier League title from 57.15% to 68.23% after their 1-0 victory at Anfield over Liverpoolβ€”their first win there in 14 years.

Another team on the rise is Brighton, who defeated league leaders Manchester City 1-0 at the City’s home ground. This win moved the "Seagulls" up to third favorite, maintaining their strong hold near the top of the table and pushing Liverpool down to fourth favorite.

Meanwhile, Chelsea remain the fifth favorite but saw their title chances rise by more than 1% after a 2-0 home win against Manchester United, securing a top-four spot and dropping the "Red Devils" to 17th place.

1st: Arsenal 68.23% (previously 57.15%)

2nd: Manchester City 18.86% (previously 31.98%)

3rd: Brighton 6.86% (previously 4.05%)

4th: Liverpool 3.06% (previously 4.38%)

5th: Chelsea 1.45% (previously 0.89%)
