TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Belgium beat Turkey 3-0 in UEFA Nations League Group A1 at Stade Maurice Dufrasne in Liege on Friday local time.
Belgium secured the win through a brace from experienced midfielder Kevin De Bruyne and a goal from Romelu Lukaku, according to UEFA records.
The result moved Belgium into second place in Group A1 with six points from three matches, one point behind leaders France. Turkey remain bottom without a point after three games.
Belgium took the lead in the 10th minute when De Bruyne completed an individual run with a finish past Turkey goalkeeper Ugurcan Cakir.
Turkey had chances to equalize, with Arda Guler testing Belgium goalkeeper Senne Lammens. Guler threatened again with a low shot, but Lammens made another save.
Belgium then came close to extending their lead when De Bruyne's header was denied by a reflex save from Cakir.
Turkey created another chance after the break through Ferdi Kadioglu, but his effort missed the target.
Belgium doubled their lead in the 59th minute when De Bruyne converted a pass from Youri Tielemans.
Turkey continued to push for a response, but Belgium remained in control and added a third goal in the 76th minute. Lukaku finished a pass from Charles De Ketelaere to make it 3-0.
Turkey continued searching for a consolation goal, but Belgium held on to secure a comfortable victory.
