Ailin Perez had more shots to fire at Norma Dumont after a controversial result at UFC Fight Night 289.
The heated rivalry between women's bantamweights began boiling over during the pre-fight faceoffs, where plenty of words were exchanged before Dumont (13-4 MMA, 9-4 UFC) pulled out condoms and money, throwing both at Perez (14-2 MMA, 7-1 UFC).
The two went the distance in the co-feature bout at the Meta APEX, leaving plenty to be desired in the action in the cage. Yet, after the final horn, the pair had to be separated as they exchanged more heated words.
As the official decision was read, Dumont was confident she would be announced as the winner. However, the judges saw the fight unanimously in Perez's favor. It was a questionable decision that prompted many online to label it a robbery.
After the fight, Perez sent an X-rated message to Dumont on Instagram Stories, proving the bad blood will continue.
"Thanks for the condoms @Norma_Dumont_MMA, but I did not need to use them to f*ck you 🤭 #sosorryAlso, use those 2 dollars to buy a Plan B, I think you might need it."
Dumont also shared some thoughts about the outcome of the fight in a video posted to Instagram Stories.
"I was going at tit with her, trading blows and talking trash the whole time," Dumont said in Portuguese (translated by Google). "She was desperate. She didn't have a prayer against me. I'm at peace and fully confident that I won. There's not a shadow of a doubt. She knows it too; that's why she was so desperate. Honestly, considering the absurd things I've seen in MMA regarding results, I didn't think it would go my way."
Dumont then posted a picture of the official decision reading, analyzing her own positive, smiling look with that of Perez, who was looking down at the canvas," Dumont wrote. "Look at the expression of someone who knows they've lost. She didn't even believe the result."
