UP man gets bitten by snake, he goes to hospital carrying reptile in bag

A man turned up at Uttar Pardesh's Bareilly District Hospital carrying a snake in a bag after it bit him, leaving doctors and hospital staff startled.

The 36-year-old man, Atul, told doctors that the snake inside the bag was the one that had bitten him. The incident triggered a brief commotion at the hospital, with doctors getting up from their seats and staff members moving away after noticing the snake.

Atul was bitten on the hand when he tried to remove a snake he found underneath a water motor.

According to his family, Atul had gone to switch on the motor when he spotted the snake underneath it. When he tried to remove it, the snake bit him on the hand.

His condition began to worsen following the bite, prompting his family to rush him to Bareilly District Hospital. Atul brought the snake along in a bag so that doctors could identify it and determine the appropriate treatment, including whether anti-snake venom was required.

The incident came amid four separate snakebite cases reported in different parts of Bareilly within 24 hours. WOMAN BITTEN WHILE DOING HOUSEHOLD WORKS

In another incident, 60-year-old Bhagwan Dei was bitten on the hand by a snake while removing cow dung cakes at a dairy near her home.

Her condition deteriorated after the bite, following which her family took her to the district hospital. Her son Lakhan said she was removing the cow dung cakes in the morning when a snake hiding there bit her.WOMAN BITTEN WHILE CLEANING HOUSE

In the third incident, 35-year-old Satyavati was bitten by a snake while cleaning her house in the Sahukara locality.

According to her family, Satyavati was cleaning the house in the morning when she encountered the snake, which bit her on the hand. Her condition subsequently worsened, and she was taken to Bareilly District Hospital for treatment.20-YEAR-OLD BITTEN IN PADDY FIELD

The fourth case involved 20-year-old Sonu, a resident of Po Nagla village. Sonu was heading to the fields in the morning to check the paddy crop when a snake near a field ridge bit him on the leg.

“We were going to work in the field when a snake suddenly bit me. It bit me on the leg,” he said. Sonu's condition deteriorated after the bite, following which his family admitted him to the district hospital.
