US Air Force F-16 fighter jet crashes in Germany, pilot ejects safely

An F-16 fighter jet assigned to the US Air Force base at Spangdahlem in western Germany crashed on Tuesday while returning from a routine training flight, the US military said.

The pilot ejected safely from the aircraft and was receiving medical treatment, according to the military.
