The US Embassy in Pakistan has completed its “STEAM Builder” programme, training more than 100 participants in 3D printing, coding and digital modelling, according to a statement issued by the embassy on Friday. The programme, delivered in collaboration with Pakistani technology firm AzCorps, brought together participants and trainers from six Lincoln Corners across Pakistan for a closing ceremony at Lincoln Corner Islamabad. According to the statement, the initiative provided participants with hands-on experience in digital modelling, coding and 3D printing, with the aim of equipping young Pakistanis with skills relevant to the country’s growing digital economy. Speaking at the ceremony, Acting Minister Counselor for Public Diplomacy David Moyer said the programme demonstrated the role of Lincoln Corners as hubs for technology, creativity and opportunity. “STEAM Builder is more than a training programme. It is a statement about Lincoln Corners serving as hubs of technology, creativity, and opportunity,” Moyer said, according to the statement. Participants also displayed a 3D Map of US. The embassy said both items would be permanently displayed at Lincoln Corner Islamabad, located at the United States Educational Foundation in Pakistan (USEFP). The embassy said the initiative was part of its “Freedom 250” initiative. It added that the Lincoln Corners network, which comprises 15 locations across Pakistan, would expand its STEAM-focused programming in 2027, coinciding with the 80th anniversary of US-Pakistan bilateral relations.
