The US political calendar is shifting from making legislation to the fight for November’s midterms, with a top Democrat telling Semafor the race for control of Congress is “50-50.” US President Donald Trump is set to kick off a month of campaigning, though GOP candidates in tough battles have distanced themselves from a historically unpopular leader.
