Video: 8-foot snake found hiding behind gas cylinder in Madhya Pradesh kitchen

A nearly 8-foot-long snake was found hiding behind a gas cylinder in the kitchen of a house in Madhya Pradesh's Sagar, leaving a family startled on Monday.

The incident took place in the Rusalla area in Sagar. The snake was spotted when a woman entered the kitchen in the morning and suddenly noticed it hiding behind the gas cylinder.

She immediately rushed out of the kitchen and alerted other family members. Snake catcher Bablu Pawar reached the spot and inspected the kitchen to locate the reptile. Since the snake was hiding behind the gas cylinder, he had to proceed carefully while attempting to bring it out.

The family was kept at a safe distance during the rescue to avoid any risk in case the snake suddenly emerged from its hiding place.

After considerable effort, Pawar managed to safely catch the snake. Once it was brought outside, its size left the family and others at the spot surprised.

According to snake catcher Bablu Pawar, the rescued snake was an approximately 8-foot-long ghoda pachhad species. After it was safely caught, preparations were made to release it in the forest.

The incident comes during the rainy season, when snakes and other animals often leave their usual hiding places in search of safer shelter.

It is believed that the snake may have entered the house through an opening while seeking protection from the rain before hiding behind the gas cylinder in the kitchen.

The family breathed a sigh of relief after the snake was safely rescued. However, the discovery of a nearly 8-foot-long snake inside a kitchen also left people in the surrounding area startled.

The snake catcher advised people to keep their surroundings clean during the rainy season and pay attention to places where snakes could hide.
