Video: Dog in lift sparks fight between 2 Ghaziabad women, stick attack follows
A dispute over taking a pet dog in a lift turned into a physical fight between two women at a high-rise society in Ghaziabad's Raj Nagar Extension, with CCTV footage of the incident now surfacing online.
One of the women, a school teacher, has accused the other of hitting her with a dog-handling stick, slapping her and abusing her during the confrontation.
The incident took place at Windsor Paradise-2 society under Nandgram police station on September 12. The complainant, identified as Hina Bari, lives in the society with her family and works as a teacher at a school in Indirapuram.
According to the complaint filed by Bari, she returned home from school at around 3 pm and entered the society's lift area. A woman identified as Shweta Sube was already inside the lift with her pet dog.
Bari claimed that Sube was not allowing another person to enter the lift along with her and the dog. When Bari attempted to enter, an argument broke out between the two women.
The disagreement escalated, with Bari saying that Sube struck her with the stick used to handle the dog. She further mentioned that she was slapped when she objected and that the other woman abused and threatened her during the altercation.
The incident was captured on the society's CCTV cameras.
The footage shows one woman standing inside the lift with a dog. When the second woman enters, the two appear to argue before the confrontation turns physical. The woman with the dog can be seen using a stick during the altercation, after which both women appear to engage in a scuffle.

Following the incident, Bari approached Nandgram police station and submitted a written complaint seeking action against the other woman.
ACP Nandgram Ziauddin Ahmed said an NCR had been registered on the basis of the complaint and that an investigation was underway.
Police said the roles of both women would be examined as part of the investigation. The CCTV footage and statements from those present at the spot will also be examined to establish how the dispute began and what happened during the physical altercation.
The incident has brought attention to disputes over pets and the use of common facilities in high-rise residential societies, where disagreements between residents over lift access and pet-related rules can sometimes escalate into confrontations.
