Village knowledge centre inaugurated in Villupuram district

Minister for Social Justice Vanni Arasu inaugurated a village knowledge centre (VKC) built at a cost of βΉ1.31 crore at Munnur near Marakkanam in Villupuram district on Saturday.
Funded under the NABARD scheme, the Centre consisted of an administrative office, a skill training hall, a computer lab, a library, training rooms, an instructorβs office, and toilets. It would also be used to conduct regular meetings by self-help groups.
Officials said the Village Knowledge Centre would play a crucial role in enhancing access to education, skills training, and economic opportunities for the local community.
Villupuram Collector Sheik Abdul Rahman participated.
