Vivek Oberoi backs Salman Khan on anti-trolling remarks
Vivek Oberoi has reacted to Salman Khan’s recent comments against online trolling, saying that people should not engage in negativity when there are “so many positive things” to do in life.
Vivek was speaking to the media at an event organised by the Cancer Patients Aid Association (CPAA), where he spent time with children battling cancer. When asked about Salman’s comments on trolling during Bigg Boss 20, Vivek said, “Kuch nahi yaar, mujhe lagta hai trolling wagera karna bhi nahi chahiye. Trolling is a very negative thing, and there are a lot of positive things to do in life kya negative mein pade ho (Nothing, yaar. I feel people shouldn’t troll others either. Trolling is a very negative thing, and there are so many positive things to do in life. Why get caught up in negativity?).”
Vivek’s comments come days after Salman spoke strongly against social media users who target celebrities over their age, weight and appearance. The actor also spoke about the criticism faced by Katrina Kaif over her appearance following pregnancy. Without naming Katrina, Salman questioned why people troll women for gaining weight after pregnancy. He said that gaining weight is normal and that an actor can get back in shape when she returns to work.
Salman said, “Everyone puts on weight after getting pregnant. When she returns to films, she will get back in shape. She wants to spend time with her family.”
He also responded to comments about his own appearance by removing his shirt and showing his physique on the show. Salman explained that his bald look was for a film and spoke about the personal reasons behind it. He also criticised people who make money by putting others down online.Vivek and Salman’s past
Vivek and Salman have a long history of public differences. Their feud dates back to 2003, when Vivek held a press conference and alleged that Salman had called and threatened him over his association with Aishwarya Rai, who had previously been in a relationship with Salman. Salman denied the allegations.
The incident became one of Bollywood’s most widely discussed celebrity controversies. Vivek has since spoken about the impact of the episode on his personal and professional life and has acknowledged that holding the press conference was a mistake.

He is also set to appear in Nitesh Tiwari’s Ramayana, an ambitious two-part adaptation featuring Ranbir Kapoor as Lord Ram, Sai Pallavi as Sita, Sunny Deol as Lord Hanuman and Yash as Ravana.
