What Joe Brady said about injury to Bills WR DJ Moore - Bills Wire
The Buffalo Bills' win over the Detroit Lions did not come without cost.
The Bills (2-0) took a 41-31 win over the Lions (1-1) in their NFL regular season debut of the new Highmark Stadium on Thursday Night Football in Week 2.
All that scoring for Buffalo came despite an injury to DJ Moore and Buffalo head coach Joe Brady spoke about Moore following the contest.
Buffalo's No.1 wide wide receiver had a ball thrown in his direction in the first quarter. It bounced off Moore as Lions cornerback Rock Ya-Sin dove to defend the play and he landed awkwardly on top of Moore.
Moore departed the game and did not return. The Bills announced Moore's injury designation as a shoulder issue.
Moore has stayed extremely healthy throughout his NFL career that began in 2018. Moore has played in more than 15 games every season. A collarbone injury would keep him out much longer than two games but right now that is just speculation.
Brady did not mention a collarbone at all after his post-game press conference, but the tape makes one think that might be a possibility.
In fact, Brady did not say much of anything at all. The coach had an opportunity to say Moore is OK, but not only did Brady not do that, he completely deflected the question--Which is worth taking into consideration.
The Bills now will not play for 10 days on Sunday of Week 3 against the Los Angeles Chargers. That game will be a 1:00 p.m. kickoff from Highmark Stadium.
Bills Wire will continue to provide updates throughout the 2026 NFL season.
