For the third straight game, the Tennessee Titans failed to capitalize on opportunities and fell one score short, losing 24-18 to the Baltimore Ravens in Week 4 action.

The Titans had chances, but the Ravens capitalized on miscues and turnovers to control the first half, build an insurmountable lead, and, even without Lamar Jackson, hold on for the win. Tennessee played hard, but it wasn’t enough to overcome multiple turnovers against a superior opponent, and that, along with the questionable play calling, must be addressed this week.

Here are four things we learned from the frustrating loss to the Ravens.

Through four weeks, Daboll’s play calling has been suspect. Whether it is first-half struggles, head-scratching calls, or a conservative approach on critical downs, the offense has looked out of sync and has cost Tennessee points. This game was no exception. The Titans had a chance to draw even, but four straight runs inside the ten, including an ill-fated wildcat attempt on fourth down, changed the complexion of the game and created a momentum swing Tennessee couldn’t overcome.

On top of that, the typical conservative approach returned in the second half, stifling what was a prime opportunity to make a comeback. In this one, Cam Ward was better, but the play calling and player usage weren’t.

Dike finally flashed the explosive return skills that made him an All-Pro in 2025 and had an outstanding game with nearly 150 all-purpose yards. Unfortunately, Tennessee’s return teams kept committing penalties, costing Dike and the team valuable yardage. If Dike can continue to return to form, it will give the Titans a boost moving forward.

The Titans entered the weekend with questions at right guard after injuries to Fernando Carmona and Jackson Slater, and Bricillo held the unit together, and they had a solid outing against the Ravens. Atonio Mafi stepped in and played well in his first start, and the line as a whole did a good job protecting Cam Ward. Yes, there was some pressure, and he was sacked once, but for a unit playing together on the road, it was an outstanding effort.

Last week against the New York Giants, the Titans missed multiple opportunities for Tate to have a huge game. This week, they made those connections, and Tate had an outstanding game, pulling in nine balls for 145 yards and just made plays.

Tate was Ward's most consistent threat and is clearly growing into the Titans' top receiver.
