Traffic movement on key stretches of Race Course Road has been restricted for 60 days starting Monday (October 5) as the Greater Bengaluru Authority has started white-topping work.
The High Grounds Traffic Police said the work is being carried out on the stretch between Maurya Junction and Hare Krishna Road Junction and includes the construction of stormwater drains, sewage lines and utility infrastructure.
As part of the traffic arrangements, movement of all vehicles from Shivananda Junction towards Maurya Junction and from Trilight Junction on Race Course Road towards Maurya Junction will be prohibited.
The traffic diversions will remain in force for 60 days. The traffic police have appealed to motorists to cooperate and follow the prescribed alternative routes.
