The latest couple to leave Strictly Come Dancing’s 2026 season has been announced, following a lively episode for Halloween Week and a terrifying twist for this week’s results show.
Ahead of Saturday night’s (31 October) episode, it was revealed that three couples, instead of two, would find themselves in Sunday’s dance-off.
Lawrence Robb and Jowita Przystal, Bethany Antonia and Nancy Xu, and Jaime Winstone and Carlos Gu then found themselves in the bottom three, and performed their routines again.
Antonia and Xu did their Jive to “I’m in Love with a Monster” by Fifth Harmony, while Winstone and Gu re-did their Salsa to “Filthy/Gorgeous” by the Scissor Sisters.
Ultimately, Robb and Przystal became the fifth couple to be voted off after dancing their Tango to the “Ghostbusters” theme by Ray Parker Jr, in a unanimous decision by the judges.
Judge Motsi Mobusi, who had this week’s deciding vote, said she would also have voted for Robb and Przystal to leave the competition.
The couple will join Ellie Taylor on Strictly: It Takes Two on Monday at 6.30pm on BBC Two and BBC iPlayer to discuss their time on this year’s show.
Elsewhere in Halloween Week, the results show continued the spooky vibe when the Professionals performed a group routine to “Dracula”, the hit track by Tame Impala featuring a voice cameo from Sir Ian McKellen, reading from Bram Stoker’s gothic novel.
Becky Hill also performed, accompanied by a routine from Strictly pros Aleksandra Isaeva and Cristian Priori.
In Saturday’s episode, John Nellis and Katya Jones performed a passionate Tango, earning the YouTuber his highest score yet. Delta Goodrem and Kai Widdrington also impressed with a Viennese Waltz that was labelled “sensational” by the judges.
Lacey Turner and her pro partner Vito Coppola ended up top of the leaderboard after closing the show with a lift-packed Charleston.
The surviving 10 couples will take the dancefloor next Saturday when Strictly Come Dancing returns at 6.30pm on Saturday 7 November.
