The Pramuka Movement’s emblem is a silhouette of a coconut sprout. This emblem was officially established through the National Pramuka Quarter’s Decree Number 06/KN/72 about the Pramuka Emblem, issued on January 31, 1972, by the National Quarter Chairman, Hamengku Buwono IX.

According to the National Pramuka Quarter, the emblem was designed by Sunardjo Atmodipuro, a National Scout Leader and mentor who also once worked at the Ministry of Agriculture.

The coconut sprout emblem then became the defining identity of the Pramuka Movement.
