Woman accused in MDMA case stabbed near police station at Vadakara

A 22-year-old woman, K.C. Keerthana, an accused in the Vadakara MDMA case, was allegedly stabbed by her partner, Vineesh, outside the Vadakara police station on Saturday (September 26, 2026) morning. The police took the accused into custody following the incident.

Ms. Keerthana came to the police station to sign the station register as part of the conditions imposed by the Kerala High Court while granting her bail in the MDMA case. According to the police, Vineesh, who was waiting near the station, got into an argument with her before allegedly attacking her with a weapon he was carrying.

Police personnel rushed to the spot after hearing the commotion and took the man into custody. Ms. Keerthana was initially taken to the Vadakara taluk hospital. She was later shifted to the Government Medical College Hospital, Kozhikode, for further treatment as her injuries were reported to be serious.

Ms. Keerthana, a former special instructor with the Perambra Block Resource Centre, was among the five accused in the Vadakara MDMA case involving alleged drug-related financial transactions. The Kerala High Court had earlier granted her bail, subject to conditions including reporting to the investigating officer.
