Woman beaten to death with stone, her 2-year-old daughter found weeping on her body

A 26-year-old woman was found murdered in a field in Raichur, Karnataka, with police suspecting that she was attacked and killed with a stone. Her two-year-old child was found lying on her body and crying for her after the murder.

The deceased, identified as Sneha, was a resident of Raichur. Police have registered a murder case and detained two suspects in connection with the case, her husband and her alleged lover.

The body was found in a field in Sindhanur taluka. Sindhanur Rural Police visited the spot and conducted an inspection.CHILD FOUND ON MOTHER'S BODY

Sneha's two-year-old child was found on her body after the murder and was crying for her mother.

The body was shifted to a hospital for a post-mortem examination.

Raichur SP Arunangshu Giri said the two suspects were being questioned to ascertain what exactly happened and who murdered Sneha.

"We have registered a murder case and detained two suspects in connection with the case, her husband and her alleged lover. She was allegedly having an affair. We are questioning them further to ascertain exactly what happened and who murdered her," the SP said.
