Woman flown to hospital after Blue Mountains cliff fall

A woman who fell 30 metres down a cliff in the Blue Mountains has been flown to Westmead Hospital in a stable condition.

Emergency services rushed to Blue Mountains National Park at 11am on Saturday after a woman plunged down a cliff in Leura.

A rescue is underway after a woman fell 30m down a cliff in the Blue Mountains.Nine NewsThe woman, aged in her 30s, fell down the Ben Trovato Wall at Sublime Point, a popular spot for climbers, a spokesperson for NSW Ambulance said. She was treated at the scene by four paramedics and a doctor for arm injuries, abrasions and back pain.

She was then airlifted via helicopter to Westmead Hospital, where she remains in a stable condition.

Earlier on Saturday, a spokesperson for NSW Police said they were called to a walking track in Leura, following reports of a hiker falling from a cliff.

“She is believed to be in a serious but stable condition,” the spokesperson said. “An operation to rescue the woman is under way.”
