Wushu star Agatha Wong misses podium in Asian Games - GMA Network

Multi-titled wushu star Agatha Wong missed out on a podium in her 2026 Asian Games campaign after wrapping up the taijiquan and taijijian finals on Sunday at the Aichi Prefectural Martial Arts Hall in Japan.

The six-time SEA Games gold medalist and one-time Asian Games bronze medalist failed to reach the podium of both events, finishing seventh in taijiquan and 11th in taijijian in the 13-woman finals field.

The 28-year-old Wong collected a total of 9.703 points in taijiquan anchored on 5.00 in movement quality, 2.703 in overall performance, and 2.00 in degree of difficulty.

Later in the day, Wong competed in the taijijian and ended up with a total of 9.156 points built on 5.00 in movement quality, 2.706 in overall performance, and 1.45 in degree of difficulty.

Xin Tong of China ruled both the taijiquan and taijijian after scoring 9.770 and 9.783, respectively, while Japanese bet Shiho Saito finished second in both events.

Brunei's Basma Lachkar and Singapore's Zeanne Zhi Ning Law settled for bronze in the taijiquan and taijijian.
