Xi visits Washington, NSE listing, UN General Assembly debate - Nikkei Asia

U.S. President Donald Trump is expected to welcome his Chinese counterpart Xi Jinping in Washington for their second meeting this year. The safety of artificial intelligence is expected to be a hot topic, after U.S. industry leaders issued dire warnings and called for a development slowdown that China suspects is meant to contain its rise.

India's largest bourse, the National Stock Exchange (NSE), is set to start trading publicly after the country's second-largest primary offering ever. The NSE will list its shares on its 151-year-old rival, the Bombay Stock Exchange -- which it has overshadowed through a mix of technological advancements such as fully electronic trading -- as it is not allowed to list its own shares.
