The pterosaur-themed museum just opened in Hami, Xinjiang, on September 13. Showcasing 200 fossils of pterosaurs, dinosaurs and other ancient discoveries from Xinjiang, the museum also features models that reveal prehistoric life and the evolution of dinosaurs into birds. Construction of the museum in the Gobi Desert, which features a double-curved design that cuts wind pressure by 40%, began in September 2024. It also has an exhibition hall sunk eight meters underground to take advantage of natural cooling.
