Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Wednesday launched a fresh attack on the Congress and the INDIA bloc, accusing their leaders of lacking "clarity, capacity and credibility" and alleging that their frustration over repeated electoral defeats had turned into what he called the "politics of anarchy".

In a post on X, Adityanath said the Opposition's alleged disregard for the people's mandate stemmed from this lack of leadership qualities. "Their leaders lacked clarity, capacity and credibility. Disrespect for the people's mandate is a consequence of this very mindset," he wrote.

The Chief Minister also alleged that the Congress and its allies were increasingly resorting to disruptive politics because of their electoral setbacks.

He said the march was being organised to create public awareness against what he described as anarchic politics and to safeguard the dignity of democracy.

The Chief Minister also asserted that the BJP, under Prime Minister Narendra Modi's leadership, remained committed to protecting India's democracy.
