Young couple on bike harassed in Bihar’s Gaya, amid a spate of such incidents

After a spate of incidents of harassment and molestation of girls and women in different districts of Bihar went viral on social media these days, yet another such incident has surfaced from Gaya district of Bihar on Wednesday (September 30, 2026).
The incident is said to have happened on Monday (September 28, 2026).
Earlier, such incidents of harassment and molestation had come from Jamui, Samastipur, Banka, Kishanganj, and Begusarai districts of the state.
In the video, which has gone viral on social media, a young couple riding on a motorcycle was seen being harassed by a group of men, who were making objectionable comments and even abusing them in a violent manner.
Cattle were seen grazing nearby where the couple on a bike was intercepted by a group of men under Sherghati police station of the Gaya district.
“We’re investigating all details related with the viral video,” said Sherghati police station in-charge Pramod Kumar. No arrest has been made yet in the incident, but “if found guilty in investigations stern action will be taken against the guilty persons,” he added.
The young couple, from Gurua police station area of the district, are said to have gone to visit a hill near Mahanadi located under Sherghati police station on September 28, when the incident happened.
