YouTuber Gaurav Taneja challenges animal cruelty claims after pet dog Mau's death
YouTuber Gaurav Taneja, better known as Flying Beast, has broken his silence over the controversy surrounding the death of his pet Labrador named Mau, rejecting allegations that the dog was neglected at his Delhi farmhouse.
In a video addressing the row, Taneja disputed claims made by former Rosier Farms employee Pushpendra Choudhary and said he was ready to produce medical, financial and photographic records to establish what happened to Mau.
The controversy began after Choudhary shared a series of videos questioning the care Mau received at the farmhouse before his death. He claimed that the Labrador had stopped eating and claimed he did not receive timely food or medical attention.
The allegations quickly raised questions online about Mau’s final days and the circumstances surrounding his death. Mau had frequently appeared in Taneja’s family vlogs and was familiar to followers of the YouTuber.
Responding to the claims in a video titled “The controversy”, Taneja challenged those accusing him of animal cruelty to provide evidence.
“I challenge all the dog lovers: does anyone have any proof that there was cruelty against an animal, against a voiceless being?” he said.
Taneja also questioned the context in which some photographs and videos of Mau at the farmhouse were being circulated. According to him, several clips being shared online were taken from older farmhouse vlogs recorded over the past two years.
“These are all videos from the past two years of the farmhouse where Mau lived,” he said, pointing to comments on the original posts where viewers had observed that Mau appeared healthier and was running around the property.
He further said Mau was not left without care at the farmhouse. Taneja claimed there was a full-time cook and caretakers at the property, along with a veterinary doctor who visited regularly.
Addressing claims that Mau had been denied medical attention, Taneja said the family had sought treatment from multiple hospitals.
“We went to five hospitals and consulted many doctors. We have a veterinary doctor at our farmhouse who visits every day,” he said.
Taneja also offered to share documents supporting his version of events, including doctors’ reports, hospital records, payment details, photographs and videos.
“I will give you the exact proof: doctors’ reports, hospital reports, UPI bills, how much was paid, exact videos, exact photographs, when he was taken where, what happened, what disease he had - everything,” he said.

He also questioned why those who allegedly witnessed Mau’s condition while working at the farmhouse had not raised concerns earlier, asking Choudhary: “You were fired from your job, and only then did you become concerned about Mau?”
Taneja urged anyone with evidence of animal cruelty to approach the authorities or courts and tagged PETA India and Maneka Gandhi, asking them to examine the matter.
