Privacy Policy
Your Privacy Matters: Internationly (accessible via https://internationly.com) is committed to protecting the privacy and personal data of our global readers. This document outlines the types of data we collect, how information is used, how cookies and programmatic advertising scripts operate, and your statutory rights under the GDPR, CCPA, and international data protection laws.
1. Information We Collect
Internationly does not require readers to create accounts, provide passwords, or submit payment credentials to browse public news content. However, to maintain portal security, optimize page delivery, and calculate aggregated article view counts, our servers automatically collect non-personally identifiable technical telemetry:
- Browser & Device Specifications: Web browser type and version, operating system, preferred language, screen resolution, and referring website URLs.
- Anonymized Telemetry & IP Addresses: We do not log raw, identifiable IP addresses in our public database. To calculate unique article view counts, IP addresses are immediately run through a one-way cryptographic SHA-256 hash algorithm combined with a daily salt before storage. Raw IP addresses are discarded.
- Server Log Files: Standard HTTP web server access logs recorded for network diagnostic integrity and DDoS mitigation.
2. First-Party Cookies & Local Storage
We minimize the use of first-party cookies to provide a fast and privacy-conscious reader experience:
- Theme Preference: We utilize client-side HTML5 Local Storage (`data-theme`) solely to remember whether you selected Dark Mode or Light Mode across browsing sessions.
- Session State: Administrative and CSRF tokens strictly utilized to secure administrative control center logins. Public readers do not receive authentication session cookies.
3. Third-Party Advertising, Monetag & Google AdSense
To fund the high-bandwidth operation of monitoring 148 global news desks 24 hours a day, Internationly partners with third-party digital advertising vendors and monetization platforms, notably Monetag and certified ad networks:
- Third-party ad vendors and ad networks use cookies, web beacons, and JavaScript tags to serve advertisements based on a user's prior visits to this and other websites across the internet.
- These scripts may measure ad campaign efficacy, prevent ad repetition (frequency capping), and deliver non-intrusive in-page push notifications, vignette interstitials, or native banner advertisements.
- Opt-Out Choices: Readers may opt out of personalized advertising by visiting the Digital Advertising Alliance Consumer Choice Tool or the Your Online Choices Portal. You may also disable third-party cookies directly in your browser preferences.
4. General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) Notice
If you are a resident of the European Economic Area (EEA), the United Kingdom, or Switzerland, you possess distinct statutory rights under the General Data Protection Regulation (Regulation (EU) 2016/679):
- Right of Access: You have the right to request copies of your personal data held by us.
- Right to Rectification: You have the right to request correction of inaccurate or incomplete telemetry.
- Right to Erasure: You have the right to request the deletion of your personal data under certain conditions.
- Right to Restrict or Object to Processing: You have the right to object to the processing of your personal data on legitimate grounds.
- Right to Data Portability: You have the right to request the transfer of your collected data to another organization.
Because Internationly does not maintain identified reader accounts or email profiles, our compliance desk can verify identity based on technical hashed records upon request.
5. California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA / CPRA) Rights
Under the California Consumer Privacy Act of 2018 (CCPA) and the California Privacy Rights Act (CPRA), California residents are entitled to specific disclosures:
- Notice of Collection: We collect only the categories of internet and device telemetry described in Section 1.
- We Do Not Sell Personal Information: Internationly does not sell, rent, or trade readers' personal information, names, or email addresses to third parties for monetary compensation.
- Right to Non-Discrimination: We will never discriminate against you (such as by denying services or altering experience quality) for exercising your privacy rights.
6. Data Retention Schedule
In strict compliance with data minimization principles, technical telemetry, server access logs, and article view verification hashes are retained for a maximum duration of 30 days, after which they are automatically purged and permanently overwritten by automated cron database cleanup tasks.
7. Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA)
Protecting children's privacy is paramount. Internationly is an international news portal intended for general adult audiences and is not directed to children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect or solicit personal information from children under 13. If we discover that an individual under 13 has provided personal information, we will delete such data from our servers immediately.
8. External Links & Outbound Dispatches
Articles aggregated on Internationly provide transparent hyperlinks to original news organizations worldwide. When you click an external link to read the full story on a publisher's server (such as BBC, Reuters, or The New York Times), you leave Internationly. We hold no responsibility for the independent privacy practices, tracking technologies, or editorial policies of external sites. We strongly encourage you to review their privacy statements upon arrival.
